Dr. Kiani's primary objective is to guarantee that each patient experiences comfort, receives comprehensive information, and feels reassured throughout their dental care. Embracing a patient-centric methodology, she prioritizes transparent communication and educational assistance. SANAZ VAHID, D.D.S
Periodontist
Dr. Vahid is a compassionate and highly trained periodontist with an extensive background in implant dentistry. As a second-generation dentist, Dr. Vahid earned her DDS from the University of Maryland in 2014. After dental school, Dr. Vahid continued her training at the University of Pittsburgh, obtaining a certification in Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) in 2015. Her passion for surgery, patient care, and oral health ultimately led Dr. Vahid to completing a three-year residency in Periodontics and Implant Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in 2018.
In addition to implant surgery, bone and gum grafting, sinus lifts, gum disease treatment and other traditional periodontal procedures, she performs lip repositioning surgery and buccal fat pad removal. She is also one of only a handful of dentists in the D.C. Metropolitan Area trained in IV sedation to curb patient's anxiety. She is founder and president of Women of the World of Dentistry. Other professional affiliations include membership of the American Board of Periodontology, American Dental Association, D.C. Dental Society, Maimonides Dental Society and Alpha Omega Dental Society. She has also authored and co-authored numerous peer-reviewed publications. As a D.C. area native, she feels honored to serve the community she will forever call home. Outside of work, she loves to travel and spend quality time with loved ones.
NIMA mORADI MAJD, d.d.s
GP-Limited to endodontics
Dr. Nima Moradi Majd completed a comprehensive six-year program at Tehran University of Medical Sciences in Tehran, Iran, culminating in the attainment of his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2005. Following two years of private practice, he pursued a Post-Doctoral Endodontic Program at Beheshti University of Medical Sciences in Tehran, Iran. In 2010, he successfully completed the program, earning a Certificate of Endodontics and a master's degree in Neurophysiology.
Dr. Majd commenced his career as an endodontic clinician and simultaneously served as an assistant professor in the endodontic Department at Qazvin University of Medical Sciences in Iran. His professional endeavors also encompassed active involvement in numerous endodontic research projects, leading to the publication of twelve scientific articles within the Endodontics domain.
In 2014, Dr. Majd relocated to the United States and enrolled in the International Dentists Program at Howard University College of Dentistry in Washington, DC. He graduated with his second Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2016. Specializing in Endodontic treatments and pulp regeneration, Dr. Majd focuses his practice in these areas. Alongside his clinical commitments, he displays a keen interest in conducting research on revascularization and pioneering Endodontic procedures. A distinguished member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) National Honor Society and the Iranian Association of Endodontists, Dr. Majd is recognized for his contributions to the field.
Outside of his professional pursuits, Dr. Majd enjoys engaging in activities such as playing chess, biking, traveling, and cherishing moments with his wife who is a dentist as well. Additionally, he finds pleasure in delving into historical literature.
